Nestled opposite the entrance to Devonshire Park along the A386, you may not know about Ford Rock, but it’s time to change that! Once a neglected spot that lost its former beauty, this riverside gem is now blooming once again, thanks to dedicated efforts to restore its charm.

With the site completely cleared, the transformation includes newly planted laurel hedging, native rowan trees, and freshly grassed areas, all framed by a lovely bark pathway. Four spacious picnic tables invite residents and visitors to enjoy the tranquil surroundings while taking in the stunning river views.

Local Councillor Doug Bushby expressed his excitement about the project: “The transformation has been fantastic! People can now come, relax by the river, and enjoy a picnic in this peaceful escape just a short stroll or bike ride from town.”
