Have You Seen Bideford's Vibrant New Mural?

Created by local artist Ryan Ward from Oddasea, the 2-metre by 2-metre artwork now decorates the gable end of Country Cottage Bakery. With its vintage advertising style and warm tones inspired by dusk skies and starling murmurations by the bridge, the mural adds charm and character to the street.

Ryan shared his thoughts on the project:
"I’ve lived in Bideford on and off for many years. No matter where I go, I always come back. The old bridge gives me a sense of calm, and I love the area and its community. I wanted the artwork to be a welcoming sign for visitors to Bideford."

Graham Blight, Managing Director of Country Cottage Bakery, also expressed his excitement:
"We’re pleased to have supported this project. It’s already sparked curiosity among our customers, and we hope it leads to more installations around town."

Supported by the Bideford Regeneration Board and funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, the mural was fabricated by Mimick Signs at Caddsdown – a true Bideford collaboration!
