Bideford Carnival 2025
- The Bideford Carnival procession normally starts at 6pm from Pill car park. Road closes at 5.45 pm
- Last year's theme was Magic & Fantasy - not sure what 2025 will be
- The carnival starts from the Pill Car Park and travels around the town before returning to the Quay.
- After the carnival procession, the Massed pipes & Drums at 7:45 pm.
Procession Route
The tradition Carnival procession will leave the Pill Car Park at 6pm, heading along Kingsley Road, and onto the Quay, before turning into Bridgeland Street, North Road, Lime Grove and Belvoir Road. It then turns onto Abbotsham Road and then down the High Street. Then it’s along the Quay and back to the Pill Car Park. There will be lots of floats, walking entries and bands.

BIDEFORD MASSED PIPES & DRUM
As soon as the procession has cleared the Quay, the stage is set for the Massed Pipes & Drums. Up to 180 pipers and drummers will be parading together in one of the biggest massed bands in England. Bands from the South West, including Exeter, Plymouth, Cornwall, Bristol and of course, Bideford, will be joined by pipe bands from; Birmingham, Portsmouth Swansea, Cardiff, Cwmbran, Cheltenham and from as far away as Accrington in Lancashire.
