Bideford Christmas Lights Switch On 2024

Bideford Christmas Light Switch On happens at 5 pm but the Christmas celebrations start in the town from 12pm.

This a FREE whole town event involving the town traders, community music performances, fair ground rides, stalls and of course the big lights switch on for the town

Parking - Bridge Street & The Pill car parks will offer free parking. Manor car park & The Quay will be closed for the event.

This is always a great family event and fully funded by Bideford Town Council.

2024 PROGRAMME 

Food Stalls, crafts and rides are on the Quay and Jubilee Square. But many cafes and shops stay open in the town, so it's worth a wander to see what you can find. 

The Pannier Market is also open for a big merry yule Market

• 12-2pm Quiet opening - minimal noise from any attractions to allow anyone with sensory sensitivity to enjoy the rides without the noise
• 2pm Live Music - Oliver Wattley
• 2-5pm Circus Workshops on the Quay. 
• 3:10pm Sarah Ann Westcott Dance School
• 3:30pm Stagecoach Performing Arts
• 4pm Westcroft School Choir
• 4:30pm Louisa Hockins School of Performing Arts
• 5pm The Lights are Switched On
• 5-5:30pm Bideford Town Band on stage
• 5:30pm Community Parade
• 5:35pm St Mary's School Choir
• 6pm Live Music from Beckon the Wyrd and Fire Show
• 7pm event closes

LIVE LINE -UP ON THE STAGE

There will be food stalls on the Quay and Jubilee Square. The live music stage will be located in the Quay Car Park, opposite the High Street.
