Free to Watch: Ride the Rapids - 31st of August

This is a new event for Bideford from the organisers of the Soap Box Derby - a Raft Race!

Event Details:

• Date: Sunday, 31st August 2025
• Start Location: Bideford Quay Steps
• Finish Location: Appledore Churchfields Car Park
• Charity Support: All proceeds will go to RNLI Appledore Lifeboat Station
• Finish Line: Alongside the SS Freshspring with a medal presentation on board.
• Awards: Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Come and cheer on the teams as they ride the rapids! It's free to watch and fun for the whole family.

How to Participate:

• Team Registration: NOW Closed - all teams are now finalised 
• Team Raft  Requirements: Build your own raft with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 4 people per raft.
