Way of the Wharves is a volunteer lead community project researching and communicating the history of the the wharves at East the Water. Connected to Bideford by the long bridge East the Water has a long industrial history including: shipbuilding, lime kilns and horticulture, potteries and tobacco
Whether it is Martial Arts or Dance, our programmes are not only great fun for kids and adults, they also offer loads of other health benefits from fitness to building confidence to helping children with their development.
Our main provision for Bideford is daily kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding on the River Torridge. We operate daily between Little America (LA) and Kingsley Steps / Bank End on the Quay.
The Co-operative Food sell a selection of fresh and frozen food as well as dairy products, confectionery, tobacco, alcohol and groceries. They also sell mobile top up cards and stamps.
