Markets in Bideford 2024

Special Bideford Markets

Bideford does markets whether it's on the Quay or up at The Pannier Market. With no entry fee, a market is the perfect opportunity to have a mooch about, you can even bring your dog. Let's face it: Who doesn't love a food market? and if it is an arts & crafts market - grab some food from one of the many eateries in the town

  • The Wonderful Eat:festival is returning for its second year this October on Bideford Quay. It promises to bring many producers and products into the town on festival day. Producers are mostly based within 30 miles of Bideford, with a few exceptional and hard-to-find products from further afield.
  • The Continental Food Market will line along Fisherman's Wharf on Bideford Quay again this summer. This market features many great world foods and products that don't feature in the 'usual' markets.
  • Torridge Arts & Crafts Market continues to bring some glorious handcrafted goodies to the Pannier Market. The first one is set for March 2024
  • Christmas - In 2023, The Pannier Market will host a number of Christmas markets selling  food and craft.. Local artisans, artists, and food producers gather to showcase their best work. Bideford has a variety of markets that cater to a range of interests, from foodies to antique collectors.
  • Visit at least one of these markets to experience the vibrant local community and discover unique treasures that can only be found in Bideford. Bidefood Fest is set to return on 8th December 2024

Weekly Markets Days

  • Devon Traders Association hosts regular markets in The Pannier Market. Check Devon Trader's Facebook page to stay up to date

Monthly Markets

  • The Bideford Farmers Market takes place on the third Saturday of each month. Held on the Quay, this market is the perfect place to find locally grown and raised produce, as well as handmade crafts and gifts. It has a real community feel, with friendly vendors and shoppers alike. Go to the Bideford Farmers Market on The Quay every 3rd Saturday (Starting in March 2024) and enjoy the — hopefully nice — weather while browsing for delicious fresh food. Plus, you get to support your local suppliers, and it's typically better for the environment than shopping at a grocery store.
  • Torridge Arts and Crafts Group host a monthly market in the Pannier Market. If you are looking for handmade crafts, specialty foods, and unique gifts, these markets offer a great atmosphere and a chance to discover the creative talents of the area
