Summer Retail Pitches on the Quay

Three temporary concession pitches have been made available to let this Summer

The three pitches offer a unique trading location from the historic town centre quay, which remains a popular draw with holidaymakers and locals during the summer months. The council is keen to hear from both established businesses and fledgling enterprises looking for an opportunity to try out a new business idea or concept.

Concession Details

• Summer trial concession duration: June – August 2023 (See page 2 for existing events)
• The size of each pitch is 4.85m x 4.35m
• Location of the concessions is on Bideford Quay (Opposite Post Office) Bideford Quay Concessions Plan (PDF) [108KB].
• Designated Trading : Monday – Sunday. 09:00am – 21:00pm
• The rate / rental of 1 x pitch will be £120.00 + VAT per month.
• There will be a one-off licence fee due @ £52.08 + VAT.
• The approximate business rates payable is £239.52 unless you can claim exemption. For further details please see https://www.torridge.gov.uk/retailrelief
• Utilities Fee @ £5.00 + VAT per day for the use of electricity and water.
