Thriving Markets Return to Bideford in 2024
Guess what? After a fantastic start in 2023, these vibrant markets are returning to Bideford in 2024. Join us once again in supporting local businesses and families, and showcasing the rich diversity of Bideford & North Devon
eat: Festival
- This wonderful regional one-day food and drink festival is returning for its second year this April to Bideford Quay.
- It promises to bring many producers and products into the town on festival day. Producers are mostly based within 30 miles of Bideford, with a few exceptional and hard-to-find products from further afield.
- It was estimated that over 5000 people attended over the day in 2023 - 74 pitches in total were occupied by 64 different producers and community groups. All traders were within 30 miles of Bideford
Bideford Farmers Market
- Enjoy the — hopefully nice — weather while browsing for delicious fresh food. Plus, you get to support your local suppliers, and it's typically better for the environment than shopping at a grocery store.
- Monthly Farmers Market on Bideford Quay - every 3rd Saturday of the month
- The Market launched on the 18th of March 2023 and continues again for another year from March 2024
Continental Food Market
- After a successful event in 2023 a weekend of delightful food and drink returns to Bideford on the first May Bank Holiday 2024
will line along Fisherman's Wharf on Bideford Quay again this summer. This market features many great world foods and products that don't feature in our usual markets.
Torridge Arts & Crafts Market
- Continues to bring some glorious handcrafted goodies to the Pannier Market. The first one is set for March 2024
- With no entry fee, a market is the perfect opportunity to have a mooch about, you can even bring your dog. Let's face it: Who doesn't love a food market? and if it is an arts & crafts market - grab some food from one of the many eateries in the town
Specialist Markets
- In 2023, The Pannier Market hosted several Christmas markets selling food and crafts. For the first year, the infamous North Devon Christmas Market was showcased in Bideford, where local artisans, artists, and food producers gathered to showcase their best work.
